meisterluv Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 Hi guys, I'm planning a trip up to the Leech Lake area for a weekend of bass fishing. Was wondering if anyone can recommend some smaller lakes that are good for bass in case my small boat can't handle the waves/storm on Leech Lake. I will be staying in Walker and don't mind driving around the area. Thanks! Quote
Super User MN Fisher Posted July 26, 2019 Super User Posted July 26, 2019 When I lived up in Bemidji - Wolf and Andrusia, just east of Bemidji, were pretty good for bass. Irving, which is connected to Bemidji by a short, navigable channel, was also fairly good. Quote
Tlauz Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 Jason Mitchell Outdoors has a couple episodes of him bass fishing small lakes in Walker area on youtube. He doesn't give specific names of lakes but gives great info. I think most of the small lakes in the area will have bass. Quote

I have the worse luck picking lakes so was hoping to get a more narrowed list of small lakes sheltered from the winds. Quote
