BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted July 25, 2019 BassResource.com Administrator Posted July 25, 2019 What happens when you use livewell additives with oxygenators? Dispelling the myths... Quote
Ricatkinson Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 I'm a little confused. Should we use Hydrogen Peroxide and an additive? Or is it one or the other but not both? Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted July 26, 2019 Author BassResource.com Administrator Posted July 26, 2019 You can use both together, no problem. You don't have to use hydrogen peroxide if you have an oxygenator, but it's an effective low-cost solution if you don't. Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted July 26, 2019 Global Moderator Posted July 26, 2019 As a non tournament fisherman, I wish my livewell dispensed ice instead of water! Cool video Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted July 26, 2019 Author BassResource.com Administrator Posted July 26, 2019 That would be awesome! 1 Quote
Super User WRB Posted July 27, 2019 Super User Posted July 27, 2019 When Tony is talking about hydrogen peroxide it's tthe 3% over the counter product. I have used 1/2 cup or 4 oz per 15 gallons of water for decades during night tournaments because the dissolved oxygen levels in the water tend to drop at night and I don't have a Oxygenator. Having a pint bottle of hydrogen peroxide in the boat is good insurance when you need it. Regarding oxygenators with livewell additives may have started with a article that stated salt in livewell additives can corrode the units. I recall the article was in Bassmaster mag just after the Oxygenator was introduced? Tom PS is Tony's wife Lane OK? Quote
