I've never caught an 8, 9, or 10lb bass. I've caught a 7 and an 11, but the gaps remain

Break 6 lbs in MA. They're around and the 5s show up for me but I haven't come across a 6 yet.

Same, except I haven't broke 5lbs. I fish mostly small lakes and ponds on my kayak. I catch plenty of 3-3.5lb'rs, so no complaints from me all things considered. I know there's bigger fish out there, I just need to figure them out. Curious if 5lb+ are common in this area or not.

I have never fished in Alaska, haven't caught  bass over 20 lbs or a musky over 40 lbs.

Fishing Alaska is still possible.

I usually average one 5 a season. But there's guys especially some of the swinbaits guys that seem to find them fairly often. The gold pin fish every year is 9 or 10lbs so the state has some good fisheries it can just be tough to come across the bigger fish with regularity.

I don't know exactly where to go. But one of these days I hope to do just that.

If going to MI area, Lake St Clair is it.  Can get you both species.  Running into muskies is not all that uncommon.  But you'll need a guide.  Lake St Clair is simply a big bowl, almost featureless, but the small "features" make all the difference.  Not much on scenery since it's mostly simply one hell of a lot of water.  But with a guide you should be able to get a good number of very big smb, and probably a walleye or two thrown in.

If you are coming north for smb I believe Lake St Clair is your best bet around MI

Catch a fish on an A-rig, catch a fish on a Plopper, break off a fish with BG, fish with a milennial,

None are looking good in the foreseeable future...

Never caught a 5 lb bass.

Never caught a legal sized muskie.

Never caught fish using my electronics (just got it this spring).

Never caught a catfish.

Never caught a salmon.

Never piloted a boat on the St. Lawrence River.

These are all things that are do-able in my area.

I have a very good guide for St Clair.  So if you choose St Clair and want a reference, let me know.

Panama. The fishing is as hot as the weather.

Haven't been bass fishing very long so I've got a whole career of "first times" to accomplish. I got my first 5 pounder a month ago. Other than that I'm just getting started!

Never caught a Tarpon, red snapper or amber jack..and I live 12 minutes from some of the best saltwater fishing on Earth.

They seem to not be effected by a frog..

Never been redfishing. I really want to just haven't gotten the chance. Never caught a 5 lb spotted bass. I'm fairly confident they exist in Arkansas just never caught one. Never had a respectable finish in a tournament in January or February. And I've tried a lot.

I think you need to buy a slurpee or big gulp enroute to your fishing grounds. That might increase your odds in landing an 8-10 lb. bass, lol.

I would like to catch fish in fished out waters with invasive organisms.

Mine are starting ?  to make a possible comeback.  As the fish are adapting over a decade.

Never ice fished. Would like to one day, doesn't get too cold here

Used to live in Ohio and ice fished a lot.

Something very tranquil when your whole world revolves around what is happening in a 6 inch hole

You ever make it up to Seattle on an odd year like this year in the summer and I’ll get you into some pinks and cohos (aka silvers). Salmonids are king in my neck of the woods, lol.

I'm retiring in December of this year and one of the top items on my bucket list is to hire a guide on a lake known for smallmouths (like Pickwick Lake) and finally catch one. I've been saving up for a few years to make it a week long trip.

An 8 pounder. I know people who have fished a lot less than I have who have caught bigger bass.

To land a bass 15lbs or better. Bet there's going to be a few folks that would answer along the same line..

I haven't landed a 15 lb bass either.  Or even a ten lb bass.  I think I've come close to 7.5 lbs, though.
