Defiant Clone Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 Figured this would be a good place to jump in! First of all Thank You everyone for all the post's about reels, I bet I have spent a week reading various opinion's on this reel or that one, before ever becoming a member! I have recently gotten back into fishing about a year ago as something to with my then 3 y/o son and to take advantage of a get together on a big lake (False River). I even caught what I would guess to be my PB right off the bat (no scale) and I was hooked! Now, I grew up fishing rivers and creeks with my dad and just used whatever he handed me, so I had no real knowledge, but when I decided to get back into fishing I picked up a spinner combo because that was all I had ever thrown. I never realized just how much there was to Bass fishing! Right now I mostly fish off banks where I can find lakes on google maps, I am working on fixing up the old family boat (14' Alum Jon) and trailer so I can bring it home with me and really hit some water! Super User Sam Posted July 25, 2019 Super User Posted July 25, 2019 Welcome! Don't forget to have you and your son wear purple and gold when you go fishing and yell "Geaux Tigers" when you set the hook. Great having you with us and we look forward to your posts about those beautiful Louisiana bass (and redfish and specs and croakers and drum and sheepshead and oyster loafs and roast beef poboys and how you do your roux and do you all go crabbing and how much fun you have at LSU football and baseball games and how many five-gallon buckets you have for hurricane season and your Mardi Gras adventures and some French Quarter stories and on and on and on). Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler! Quote

Now, Now my wife would kill me if I gave away the Roux recipe ? , surprisingly I have only been to Mardi Gras 1 time (NEVER AGAIN) as for French Quarter stories I would need a book!!! You sure can bet on me sharing pictures. Just have to catch something other than aggressive brim haha 1 Quote
