I need to figure out what a 2016 Z520 Ranger boat and 250 mercury verado weighs with trailer? The total weight estimated? I am concerned It might be too heavy for the little  outfit I am in. I have a 2007 Toyota Tacoma to tow it with.

Take it to a scrap yard and get it weighed then there is no guessing.  I had to take my trailer yesterday to get it weighed so that I could get it registered.  Cost me $5, quick and easy!

A 2019 is 5400 lbs. I can't imagine a 3 year old boat is much different.  I would not tow that with a Tacoma.

I wouldnt tow any full sized glass bass boat with a Taco. Great truck - not a great tow vehicle.

Since the 2007 Tacoma is only rated to tow 3500 - trade that in on a Silverado...even a used one. My 2001 with the towing package is rated to 11,000.

I think it depends on whether you get a V-6 or a V-8.  One of my best friends has a Tacoma.  It's an awesome truck, but I wouldn't tow a bass rig with it.

The baseline Silverado/Sierra is rated for 7000lbs and will do as well. I own a '14 Sierra myself and I got that over a Ford/Toyota because it has more room and straighter seats, better for people over 6' tall (and over a Silverado simply because the local dealer is a GMC dealer).

You'd probably be fine with a smaller aluminum boat if you want to keep the Tacoma.

That's a lot of boat for a little truck, two critical areas, the trucks towing capacity and the trucks braking capacity, neither of which are really suited for the much of a load.  The day you have to stop quickly and the boat pushes you right on through an intersection, even with trailer brakes, you'll will see the "big picture".

Even with most full sized, 1/4 ton pickup, towing that boat at highway speeds is probably going to a bit extreme.  A transmission temp gauge should be added and never let it get above 200f, and forget about towing in overdrive.

Go to the source for the facts, talking to the transmission specialist at a dealership for the make of vehicle, not someone on this site or someone on line, not a sales person or service manager.  The second best option is talk to a specialist at a transmission rebuild shop.  This can save you a lot of trouble and money down the road.

Would absolutely NOT plan on pulling that boat with a Tacoma unless it were a one time situation across town or something.

The truck will move the boat with no problem. Stopping will be the issue and will be unsafe.

I own a 2016 Chevy Colorado with the towing package. It is rated for 7000 pounds. Similar to the Tacoma.

It was originally purchased to pull my aluminum boat.

Shortly after I bought the truck I traded the Aluminum boat in for a Ranger Z175.

Total weight with all equipment and trailer is around 2200 pounds.

I debated trading in the Colorado for a Silverado. after a few trips I decided to keep the Colorado.

My truck handles it fine, but if I traded up to a larger Ranger I would definitely get a bigger truck.

I would not want to tow anything close to the max rating of my truck.

I was wrong.  The 2200 pounds was without any gear and 1/8 tank of gas.

I had it weighed with all gear and full of gas.  it was closer to 2500 pounds.

My 11 Tacoma access cab 4.0 4x4 is rated at 6500# with the factory tow package. Our trucks are pretty much exactly the same even with the year difference not much of anything was changed. What you need to do is look up your exact configuration. Also look to make sure you have a transmission cooler. If you have the cooler your truck has the tow package. I would recommend a brake upgrade though as tacomas factory brakes suck
