Push nuts

Hey guys.  Do any of you know an easy way to remove push nuts.  I need to replace my bow roller and have had a hard time removing the push nuts.  Last time I had to use a hacksaw - is there an easier way?

You can accomplish the same task in the same manner as the special tool using slip joint channel lock pliers.
