Fishin' Fool Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 Hey all, I was considering listing some of my used tackle. What is the best way to ship treble hook lures that are not in the original packaging? Are you guys still using the bubble packaging and trying to rubber band the hooks? Thanks for any suggestions that you might have. Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted July 20, 2019 Super User Posted July 20, 2019 Just put them loose in a small box, i mean that is basically how they are shipped all the time. 1 Quote
Super User whitwolf Posted July 21, 2019 Super User Posted July 21, 2019 @Fishin' Fool give me a little bit to get some pictures and I will show you what I consider the safest way to ship loose baits. Quote
Dogface Posted July 22, 2019 Posted July 22, 2019 I have received lures purchased on eBay packed as Whitwolf showed. I have also received them with the hooks pined to the body with rubber bands. You could get some small diameter model airplane fuel line and cut the pieces to fit over the hook barbs. That might be the safest way. 1 Quote
BIGfryFish Posted July 22, 2019 Posted July 22, 2019 Use can easily try Safety Pin Hook Organizers https://www.dontheoutdoorsguy.com/en/fishing/articles-on-fishing/388-4-diy-fishing-projects-from-upcycled-and-reclaimed-materials.html Scroll to the bottom of the page to see. Just pin the hooks together, bubble wrap, box/wrap. Then you should be good to go. I don't ship hooks much, but this works great in my tackle boxes. 1 Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted July 22, 2019 Super User Posted July 22, 2019 Place a small rubber band binding the trebles together and then pack them however. A-Jay 2 Quote

Brett's_daddy Posted July 22, 2019 Posted July 22, 2019 I ship mine with hook covers on and wrapped in bubble wrap. You can get the hook covers for pretty cheap off eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/100-Assorted-Fishing-Treble-Hooks-Safety-Covers-Bonnets-Fishhook-Treble-Caps/332837797147?_trkparms=ispr%3D1&hash=item4d7eadbd1b:g:WzUAAOSwa6JbwGnQ&enc=AQAEAAAB4BPxNw%2BVj6nta7CKEs3N0qV6xKnrle5CWfsHZ2KeFLOR9KTgFx0%2BTog6fAANzFwxYopYezUOMua1QLbdNBKxG%2Bf032gU%2Fiv0SpxdfQog7Ay%2FOqtCzDaU2UEbVxqIuEIDSApzYaYIYWF29%2BbmiGeWhBN870Go9iXV6sYMdaWmz4gvZL%2Fp6zhRV3ko8uWXH9QCEW%2FSfrrD4euq0P9UoYbeSnJzmZ%2Fmw2d%2FcRh%2Fik7%2FNoCPLVt%2BMBnrenPB%2FFeNEr8kyuifBl704XrUn%2FStnLYku2IUkJ9xRcV10tTRW5VhEJzV6Tm5XfwVHTKQBaSmL1Efu6Amm8IwRjMcGnosIIOogsJ8Di1NyAY9uOthqd259%2Bk5ue%2FODcWoZHuHvhmiqd3C7j%2ButiYbEWpYX3ftnF3z%2B8chpWSqUdVK%2FjwC305WPGrr9Li%2B5WXLHasj36tuiFY9K5Z91NLjPH7pi1UjVTZIjVOMHmlo%2BSkcvBRWG0fUM%2FI234wDV2JPYI3MD2%2BWhPHTb9aEQVLgaT8hwXT34XFCk9a7fAh0eJltFLKnPAS0CgAqWupPe1Pb7aJmLGtrcyZ%2BBq7EzJZeHFd8EzD%2FbkfSFhmKM87ry%2FxjucnT9v%2BVF%2FoAb8senrSyuFZUSzA%2F36O6Tw%3D%3D&checksum=332837797147fb50cf6491e84b4d8b0149bc1adf060f 1 Quote
