Hello, I was wondering what could be a good fishing rod for a beginner under $100 for fishing bass?

Are you talking just the rod, or rod and reel?

Also - spinning or baitcasting?

Daiwa Aird-X 7' MH/F spinning rod - $54 Amazon

Daiwa Legalis LT 2500 spinning reel - $52 Amazon

Just a bit over $100, but these a really high quality and will last a long long time.

Both! Yes sorry both of them... I've always used spinning in the past but don't know the difference with the baitcasting since is what I see on YouTube everyone using...

Well, for spinning - I'd go with the rod @Jungerrecommended, but replace the reel with a Pflueger President 35 - $59.95 at Amazon

For Baitcasting - again the Diawa Aird-X MH/F rod with a Pflueger President BC.

I've got mostly Aird-X rods and they're very responsive. I've also got a President BC and a President Spinner and I like them both.

Buy the best you can afford.  If you don't, you'll just want to upgrade soon.  I don't buy inexpensive stuff any more, I save up until I can afford the good stuff.  It actually saves you money in the long run.  Now, if you don't have anything, and just want to get started, look for one of the Combo Sales at Bass Pro Shops.  They run some pretty good deals sometimes. They're real good as supporting their brand too.  You can get parts for just about any of their reels.  Don't be afraid to look on Ebay either.  I've got some killer deals on there over the years.

Is so overwhelming when you go to the store cause there are so many different rods and riels is not even funny, makes it confusing when you want to go buy something.

I went last night to Academy everything I've pick up in my hand was like I don't know...some of these things on the $50 price range look like very funky and cheap made to me...

However I've looked into some the Shakespeare ones and I've really like them, they seem well made and good quality compare to other ones...also Abu Garcia's rods and riels looked descent….but still indecisive :(

Anyway, I will have a trip to Bass Pro Shop today and check them out...

Thank you so much for all the info a tips :D
