If you’ve ever seen the TV show Monsters Inside Me you’ll see we’re exposed to things every day and for most of us our immune systems fight it off no problem. For a few their immune system is weak for a number of reason and the get infected. Not saying this is the case, because I’m not a doctor and I have no clue how flesh eating bacteria works (but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night) I imagine you’re right though it probably is a isolated incident.

This stuff is showing up with alarming regularity.

Florida seems to have had quite a few cases so far this year.

One in three die from this - That's pretty scary.

Not to make light of this but, it might be time to live in a bubble.

My cousin lives in a bubble . . .

with the Moops.

According to his wife he is never sick. She also apparently was more effective than the doctors at diagnosing what was wrong..... A real shocker there......

I had a friend of a friend contract the same infection swimming in folley beach, SC recently

I think it's safe to say that this bacteria is in everybody of water in the country.  Why it get's some people is a mystery.  I know it's more likely to get you if your immune system is weak.

But just to be on the safe side,  I recommend that everyone stay off the Tennessee River for a few years,  especially wake boats and jet skis.

That's terrifying. I have open wounds and we spent all day swimming on Lake Michigan yesterday. I'm not OK after reading this. Send help.

Your done for, might as well start shipping all your gear to the rest of us here on the forums, just to make sure it gets used properly ?
