I noticed all the new baits like the Rage Ned Bug are listed at 6.99 which instantly took them off my to buy list. I did just look at Strike Kings web site and all rage baits are listed at 6.99.

I am hoping TW is just listing the MSRP now and will adjust the prices down as the products start to show up. Any thoughts or insight?

Well, FishUSA doesn't have the Ned Bug listed yet...but the rest of the Rage line are at 5.49/pack.

The baits I looked at that are $6.99 have more baits in the bag so the per bait price is the same.

Edit: This is not the case for the Menace Magnum or the new punch bait. Hopefully prices don't go up on everything.

Guessing they will drop closer to the time they get them in. The smaller baits like the baby menace have more baits at the same price, so hoping the smaller Ned baits will end up the same price even though they have more baits.

That's the price they were listed at for ICAST too so I wouldn't get your hopes up on the price dropping.

If that is the case than we can expect the other Rage baits to be at that price point soon to match what is on the strike king website, for example 6.99 for Rage grub and Menace.

If that happens back to tubes and grubs for bass. Also if this happens the googans baits would be a buck cheaper at 5.99 which doesn’t seem right.

The saving grace for SK is that they don’t seem to have a MMAP policy, so it’s usually easy to find them on sale somewhere.

It would take a hell of a price hike to get me to give up the Menace and Rage Craws, but the rest of their lineup isn’t irreplaceable for me.

I can tell you guys that I have the 2019 list but it does not have the ned stuff.  My prices will not change.  If the new Rage product cost me the same as the other stuff I will not gouge for it being new.  I'm working on getting all the new stuff.

Ive noticed TW is rapidly closing in on being as high/over priced as BPS. I find myself looking there less and less because of this.

I don't see it in regards to baits like Yum, Zoom, Big Bite Baits, Net Baits, Z-Man, War Eagle, Santone. Their prices are great. Which stuff do you feel is priced higher than should be?

I will add keitech, vmc and Yamamoto to that list.  So many people are wrongly dissing TW because they are running less sales but they're everyday prices are the best I've seen and selection can't be beat

Im going to weigh in on this because I know about it first hand- THE PRICES TO MAKE STUFF HAS GONE THROUGH THE ROOF.  If you are an "American Made " company like mine-you wonder how you stay in business. Wages for people to pack baits -make spinnerbaits -buzzbaits etc are 14-15-dollars per hour -Hell my secretary is 20.00 here in NJ -.. The rent on warehousing is crazy-excise taxes -workers comp -every freakn way they can bang you they do- I see the imported tariffs are going up- Have you seen the prices of Yamamoto- OMG That's because the 160 employees minimum wage went up around 3 bucks an hour- do the math at 40 hrs a week. You cant just eat those numbers and keep prices down... We lost Dicks Sporting goods because we couldn't keep giving discounts -Yes you can sell 30,000 buzzbaits but if youre not making money-WHY BOTHER- 10% ing yourself every year into the poorhouse.  We have to get on an even playing field with the overseas imports on fishing and other products or "AMERICAN MADE COMPANIES" will be a thing of the past.. I fight every day to keep that flag on my logo. I push for people to buy my products. My quality is higher and when you call here you get a person not a push 1 for English.   So are prices going up-you just wait and see when the full tariffs kick in .. The talk at ICAST was where the heck are we going to get our stuff made--

Ok Im done

While I understand the point you are making and I don’t disagree with it, the case with Strike king makes no sense.

Currently an 8 pack of Menace grubs or 9 pack of Baby Menace grubs are listed for 5.29. The newly introduced magnum menace 7 pack is 6.99 and the Baby and Ned structure bug and others are listed at 6.99. That price difference doesn’t make sense. For my fishing budget, the 5.29 was too much so I bought on sale, even on sale the 6.99 price is a nonstarter for me.

As far as Yamamoto baits go they were way overpriced for me anyways, guessing he has a healthy profit margin built in, so if they raise prices to keep the margin that is their choice.

As as far as the minimum wage hike, I hope my salaried position gets a bump too, or I am falling behind. Drives me nuts reading all the people that think a min wage hike won’t impact prices.

It will put small businesses out of business

Agreed and it really sucks. We have already lost too many because the small fishing and other retailers don’t have the buying power of the big stores.

So I messaged TW on FB asking if they were just listing the MSRP for the baits until they got final pricing. Their answer was that this was the price but they would price match. So I asked a follow up question of will the other Menace baits change from 5.29 to 6.99? If my math is right, that would be a 25% increase.

Would love to hear from Big O or someone else in the know if the baits suddenly got a lot more expensive to make, or if TW is just very high on these. I love the Menace, but it has always been at the top end of the budget for what I personally will spend on soft plastics.

I did also also message Rage Tail on FB with this question and a color request for the Menace and Baby Menace line.

Tackle Warehouse got back to me and there are no known price increases for the existing Rage baits. I will remain confused;) and stock up on the Menace and Baby Menace at the next sale.
