We had a heavy t-storm last night at about 7pm, we are supposed to have another at 10 am

i am a big solunar guy and this morning should be epic fishing, but with the storms am I potentially looking at a bad time?

I planned on going first light for a couple hours, probably gonna throw a plopper or popper, maybe a buzzbait, but I am worried about locating fish in the between storm conditions! Any input?

I also realize pre storm fishing can be great, I’m just not sure how to fish series of storms. Usually I wait a couple days for the water to clear, but we have a full moon people haha!!

As far as I’m concerned, the solunar tables are based on the same science as your horoscope. Go fishing when you can. Don’t stay out when lightning is present.

Thunderstorms are a way of life nearly every summer day in the south. If I didn't fish between storms my fishing time would be cut in half.

FWIW, I have the Weather Channel app on my phone and turn on lightning alerts so I get a warning every time lightning strikes within 6 or 7 miles. That's when it's time to pack up and leave.

Here, I’ll include the flow chart I use.

Are you at work?

Yes———>don’t go fishing

No———-> go fishing

Dont over think it. Just go. You definitely won’t catch any if you stay home.

If you live somewhere like where I do ( high 90s this week ) The morning after a nice rain is usually a good time to fish in the summer.
