Use those at night too. Ive caught some nice bass on jigs at night.  Couple of my favorite night time baits are baby brush hogs & 10” worms.

I just started night fishing for bass to avoid the heat and recreational boaters.  The one thing I find really indispensable so far is a headlamp.  I found a Bushnell headlamp left on the bank a few years back before I got my boat and started using it this summer.  I am glad I remember where I put it.  Both times I went out this summer, I used all 4 settings on it, red light, blue light, high beam, and low beam.

I don't do a ton of night fishing but when I do I use the same baits I would use during the day. Prey items don't change when it gets dark and bass don't have trouble finding and eating them. Worms, jigs, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, topwaters, crankbaits, etc all work at night. I'll 2nd the recommendation for a good headlamp.

I fish at night basically all summer to beat the heat and humidity here in Georgia. As has been stated a headlamp is a must. I'll add get one with a swiveling head. A bright hand held light and air horn can help alert your presence to boaters not aware of your location. Minimize your gear as much as possible. Can't go wrong with Texas rigged worm or creature, jig, spinnerbait, and topwater. 3 rods and small tackle bag is plenty(less to step on or trip over). Bug spray comes in handy. I fish heavier line at night and upsize my lures. Knowledge of the area in the daylight is great or gps. I've been fogged in on waters I know like the back of my hand and if not for gps it may of been daylight before I'd of found the boat ramp. Slow down it's safer. Lifejacket at least when running the gas motor. If alone I always wear my inflatable lifejacket 100% of the time. I know more info than you ask but all mentioned go night fishing with me. Goodluck.

I fish the same structure with the same lure I use during the daylight.

Bass do not morph into a new creature just because the sun set!

One thing you don't wanna do is over complicate night fishing.

A bass's day is not 7-3 or 9-5, their day is 24/7/365.

It is said that bass feed more at night than during the day. Bass feed according to their metabolism, when the food is near digested it starts looking to hunt. This may occur at midnight, 2 o'clock in the morning. Sunrise, noon, or sunset.

This doesn't account for predatory feeding.

You're locating bass with your electronics & then use the most effective techniques for catching em.

Same thing you do in the daylight ?

Jig and spinnerbait .

I've very done well on dropshot with small Keitech impact fats (2.8 and 3.3 inch baits).  Remarkably successful.

Also had success with chatterbait with a craw trailer fished very slow with pauses.

Love to use buzzbaits and walking baits for topwater at night.

That's right, but I do. Launching in a couple of hours. Be safe!

Bass will bite the same lures at night that they bite during the day.

You can use what you use in the day for sure.....I just limit things as it is a new experience. I struggle with situational awareness, do to vision and hearing issues. I tend to throne a lot of topwaters, then vertical presentations and swimmers.  If throwing jigs, my cast are much shorter.

My favorite trick is usually taking someone that mosquitos really like to bite. Unfortunately in some cases they favor me over other people but usually it works like a charm

Day time to me is dawn to dusk night being the time after the sun goes down until it comes up the next day. It's dark at night when nocturnal animals are out hunting and I adjust my fishing presentations that work for me when I can't see very well.

My depth perception is horrible at night it's more 2 dimensional instead 3 so casting accurately is more muscle memory then eye hand coordination.

It's the same lures work day or night I can't present some of them accurately enough to be effective. Both jigs and worms can be cast inaccurately and work. I can mis the shoreline water edge completely onto dry land or into bushes and still work the lures back into water without snagging,  spending more time fishing then retreiving or loosing snagged lures.

If I can see well enough to cast accurately then I use lures like crankbaits, wake and swimbaits or other treble hook lures.

Practice tying knots in the dark you will need that skill even using a cap light.

Organize the lures you plan to use and use fewer rods and reels. I reduce my tackle to have only the 1 or 2 I'am using and put others my rod locker. You need a flash light, a cap light and a spot light if boating. You need a net to land bass at night.

Always let someone know where you plan to fish and have a cell phone with you.

So many things tend to happen at night that don't during day light, be prepared.

You can replace treble hooks with single hooks if you are concerned about getting hooked at night with treble hooks. Make sure to have a good light source to see better when removing the hook. If that is too much work for you then you can always stick to single hook lures with the barb bent down or barb removed.
