Xcalibur XR100 Rattle Bait

I just started using lipless crankbaits my question is are Xcalibur XR100 Rattle Bait I am finding them in the price range of $11.00 to $29.00 is that normal price range for Xcalibur lipless. I been looking at other manufactures but really like the patterns of a few of the Xcalibur ones.

They are awesome baits but the reason they are so expensive is that XCalibur as a brand was discontinued several years ago. Booyah picked up the XR line and now produces baits that are supposed to be the same as the XCalibur baits but I haven't personally tried them.

 

I have a big stash of the lipless baits as well as the XCS square bills that I wouldn't sell for any amount of money, they are great baits. Also just fyi, the XR 100 is a large 1oz bait, the XR 50 is the more standard lipless size.

You can find comparable baits with Strike King Red Eye shad. I agree with the above post if you are stuck on XCalibur the 50 or 75 size is more appropriate.

I had several of them but over time they have been either lost or just worn out from being fished.  They are great baits though.  I picked mine up when they were discontinued for like $2 each. I wish I would have bought all of them they had at DSG.  My favorite was (I think) blue chrome.  If you can find them new and they work for you, $11 for them is not bad but there are many alternatives (Lucky Craft LV500, Strike Kings Red Eye Shad, Yozuri Rattln Vibe, etc.) at that price or cheaper.

I just want to thank you all for responding,I appreciate the suggestions on the better sizes and other manufacturers to look in to that are a little more economical. But seeing that I do not fish competition and bass fish as relaxation, I would probably have to take up scuba diving if I started to losing $20.00 Bass Lures.
