Hello i was hoping to get tips and advice. Im looking to purchase a new reel and a new rod for surf fishing. Any reccomendations. I will be fishing for striped bass and porgies and bluefish

:welcome:  Lots of good information here.  Check out some of the articles.  There are also articles on different techniques.  Articles on various rods and reels.  How to articles, etc.

 

Having said that....this is a bass forum....BUT there are quite a few guys here that also fish saltwater (not me) so I am sure a few will be along to give some advice.  A quick search will also turn up several saltwater forums.
