I'm trying to figure out which trail fish in 2020.

Bass opens or the Flw costas, what are pros and cons and everyone's opinions on the two

BASS will have stiffer competition because of the chance to qualify for the classic.

Costa series will always get pro's fishing their home lakes so it's not like either one is easy.

If I were making the decision to fish the BASS opens or the Costa series, this would be my last step when trying to qualify for one of the trails. Based on my own personality I'd challenge myself with BASS and a chance to fish the classic

I'd say BASS, just for the chance the fish in the classic.

I've never gotten into the FLW so I can't really say much about it.

Travel costs seem to be easier with the Costa.

costa win gets you in the flw cup which is flw versions of classic... i would prob do the costas cause i live in socal and they have a whole series with in 12 hr drive of home/work

I dont know much about either of them, but if you are good enough to fish at that level, you probably dont need advice from here. I went up to massena ny for the weigh in at a Costa event this weekend. The winner got 83k plus a ranger 518. Pretty serious tournaments.

Same goes for the Opens. For example Ike just won the Open at the James River recently.
