Jonny15678 Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 Can I use a baby brush hog on a offset worm hook? And if so would a size 4/0 be big enough? Quote
FishingGeekTX Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 I should hope so. You can rig a full size one that way too, much of that is just tail and flappers. The bulk body is not all that long. If it will fit, it's not too big in that case. I have a reg brush baby rigged with a 4/0 right now, looks great to me. Quote
Russ E Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 if you are referring to the standard offset. that is what I use on a baby brush hog. 2/0 to 3/0 on the baby. 4/0 on the standard brush hog. I don't care for ewg hooks on anything but flukes. This is what I call a standard offset. 1 Quote

Yes although the one I have is a bit different. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Eagle_Claw_Lazer_Sharp_Southern_Sproat_Worm_Hook_8p/descpage-ECLSPR.html 1 Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted July 6, 2019 Super User Posted July 6, 2019 I have used a 4/0, but I prefer a 3/0 for the baby brush hog. Quote
Super User Log Catcher Posted July 7, 2019 Super User Posted July 7, 2019 The 3/0 is as big as you need to go. To me the 4/0 is too big. Quote
