I’m a Dobyns guy typically but looking for a spare cranking rod on a budget between only these two rods. What do you think?

Fury would be my choice, but it usually costs about 30 dollars more than the vendetta.

The 705CB is a fairly heavy cranking rod. It works well for deep divers and squarebills. It is a little too heavy for smaller crankbaits.

I own several Dobyns rods. have not had issues with any of them.

I have owned  four vendettas. Two of them have lost eyelet inserts.

Fury for me too.......I think you might still be able to get one 20% at sportsman’s outfitters with the code FREEDOM. Not sure if it’s expired though.

That 705CB is one hell of a squarebill rod. Good for poppers too.

I've been fishing abu villains for the last two years and made the transition to dobyns this season.  The abu's are hanging in the garage and every time I look at them I tell myself I need to sell them or try to trade them for a random dobyns rod.  One of the rods I picked up was the fury 705cb and Its been a blast.  I've never hooked so many fish on a squarebill this spring and as the weeds grow im using it for topwater.  I have no problems walking the dog with a 1/4oz zara spook puppy.
