Harold Scoggins Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 Checking out new lures from Megabass this morning and saw this new top water walker. Their Japanese site has it listed as a bass lure, but before you get excited you may want to look for a swimbait rod. This beast is 200mm in length and weighs 4 and 3/5 oz. The Megabass Japan site has a video of it in action and it walks every bit as good as their smaller walkers. Price: 4,320 JY or $39.82 USD. Definitely for the big bass hunter. 3 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted July 5, 2019 Global Moderator Posted July 5, 2019 I'm very interested in trying one, but I don't know that I'd fish it more than the Strike King Mega Dawg. Quote
JediAmoeba Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 I have some muskie top water weagles and I have never had a bass hit it. Or a muskie for that matter. It does look very nice though. Quote

Super User GreenPig Posted July 6, 2019 Super User Posted July 6, 2019 9 hours ago, BoatSquirrel said: Have you thrown it? Yes I've fished it 8 - 10 trips. Caught a few schooling LM, stripers, and hybrids. It cast great flying tail first. Walking it is very easy and the hooks are good. I've thrown it on 65 lb braid and 25 lb CXX and it performs fine on either with no fouling on the front hook. You will need a swimbait rod and a reel that'll hold enough line. 2 Quote
