I bought a pack of 1/0 gama skip gaps a while back.

What should I use with these if I'm targeting bass or trout?

I have some 5" YUM Dingers.  Would this work for bass?

Also, what about purchasing some Zoom Superflukes.  Would this work with this type of hook/size hook?  Would this be good for trout?

Thanks.

To me for a 5" Dinger I wouldn't go smaller than  a 3/0 hook, but that is just me.  The superflukes may be too big for a 1/0 also.  I have never seen those hooks in person so have no experience with them.

Yeah they were on sale so I just grabbed them (< $4 for 25 hooks).

The go to is 3/0.  But what should I use with these 1/0?

Those would work for shorter Dingers.  I always put a hook next to the bait that I want to use it for, if the hook doesn't look like it will cover at least half the bait then I go the next size up in hook.  Again this is just my preference.  I don't like a whole lot of plastic hanging out there without the hook in it, reason for this is I feel if they are short striking then a smaller hook is even more of a problem!

What size dinger would you recommend!?

The 4" one should be ok on that hook.  Like I said try one on the hook and see if it has a lot of excess plastic below where the hook ends, just a judgement call really and probably just a personal thing also

I use the 1/0 Skip gap hooks for Zoom Fat Albert Grubs. They also work for tubes 3.5 to 4" in length when Texas rigging. I have some 4" BPS Stick Os and I use a 2/0 size for them.

Take a look at TW discription, rig the hook normally, it's designed for skipping soft plastics.

Yum Dinger is a stick bait like a Senko, fat diameter 3/0 would be a good size.

I think Im going to try some BPS Stickos, 5.5 inch ones, for wacky rigging.

Could I just cut 1.5 inches off one of these and use it with the 1/0 skip gap hook?  Would cutting it cause it to tear up faster?

You can cut some off and use them. It won't make them tear up any faster. I personally would rather use a 2/0 hook on a 4" Sticko. I think the 1/0 is too short.

I used them quite a bit in the past until I had one break on an average fish.
