New to this site but not to fishing. Of course I love chasing big green fish but the small-lipped ones really get my blood flowing. Truth be told, I'd rather catch redfish and sea trout but this is "bass resource" so we'll keep it content relevant.

Looking for to swapping stories and disagreeing with y'all.

thanks for having me.

Welcome!

We do have an "Other Species" forum and many of us enjoy chasing fish other than bass.

I don't prefer reds and trout, but I do enjoy chasing them every other month or so!

Hi N Fl Mike,

im new to bass resource and noticed you live in Jacksonville. I’m from St. Augustine area do not own a boat, only a fishing w paddle board and bank fishing. You have any info on good ponds in our area, and which allows small crafts to be used?

Sorry I missed you the first time around.

I honestly dont know St augustine very well for bass ponds, but I know inshore saltwater there very well. And surf fishing.

I fish ponds from Nocatee north primarily, including the jax area. Hundreds of ponds there…And occasionally natural lakes , rivers in the area…

I can tell you a couple near highway 1 south and 312  NOT to fish though. I couldn’t get a bite in the big pond at the hospital, and some kind of retirement home down the road …
