Evan Pease Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 My grandpa and I got our new boat ready yesterday and took her out today. It was really good. The stability was great and our little motor moved us well enough. We put 3/4 inch ply on the fron and back and 3/8 in the middle with 5 braces holding it up. Im not sure what the carpet is but I never had a hook get caught up in it. Here are the pics: Quote
MattStrykul Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Sweet! You gonna put a bow trolling motor on it? Quote
Evan Pease Posted July 1, 2008 Author Posted July 1, 2008 Yeah. Weve got one on the back already but we need a new battery more than a motor. Our old battery has seen around 5 or 6 years of hard fishing and its going down. Quote
CAnglr Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Sweet man you have the exact same boat im working on and yuo built it just like im doing mine. Looks awsome. Any tips on how you set up the livewell i cant see whats going on there. Thanks Joe Quote
Evan Pease Posted July 2, 2008 Author Posted July 2, 2008 We made the deck go over the hump thing rather than level with it. Then we took a jigsaw and cut out the squares for the livewell and the storage compartment. The glue doesnt work on metal or we would have stuck it down a little differently. Quote
Super User skunked_again Posted July 2, 2008 Super User Posted July 2, 2008 thats a great boat. those are a must have for the guys who know the honey hole ponds. like i tell everyone, use it a lot. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted July 2, 2008 Super User Posted July 2, 2008 You've got a great little fishin machine there!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted July 2, 2008 Super User Posted July 2, 2008 Nice job. good luck and enjoy it. Quote
Evan Pease Posted July 2, 2008 Author Posted July 2, 2008 Thanks for all the comments. We took her out yesterday rondef, it did really well. 70gamefisher, I dont know if you meant the wood around it or the actual pump part. I already put how we did the deck and the pump is just a fishsaver thing I got at wallmart for $28. Its pretty straight forward haw to install it. Quote
CAnglr Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Yea the pump was more what i was interested in thanks alot your boat looks great! You said you were having problems with glue. What kinda problems? and what kinda glue were you using. thanks Quote

What kinda problems? and what kinda glue were you using. thanks If I knew where its at Id tell you but it says that it wont work on metal. I was thinking on using gorrila glue or something just to finish the edges. We let the carpet hang down a little so if we want to set on the edge of a deck the hot alluminum wont burn the backs of our legs. Were taking it out again tomorrow after we did some mods. And we got a freaken big battery 8-) Quote
