Bandersnatch Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 Does anybody know where I can get it locally. I'd like to use my new rod on a fishing vacation at the end of the week but I think I should apply the sealer before using it. Quote
BassThumb Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 Worse comes to worse, it you can't find it local, just use a Magic Eraser or some super fine sandpaper after the trip and it'll look like new, then seal it. Quote

Without having cork seal. But you recommend sealing it with cork seal. ??? Another option that will keep it from getting nasty again is to clean it up as above and use Tru Oil gunstock finish on it. It will turn it a little darker, increase the contrast. As with cork seal, one coat. I put a few drops on the surface then move it around evenly with my bare hands. Doesn't take much. Tru Oil is pretty easy to find. Quote

Is that clear enough for you? Quote
