Caught the little one on a spinnerbait and about 10 feet from shore it was jumping and the bigger one grabbed it. I seen the whole thing it was crazy. Was able to pull them both up on shore. Didn’t have my scale but if I had to guess the bigger one is about 3 lb’s maybe a little more and the small one was about 10” long. Also almost lost a spro rat to a turtle. They swim faster then I thought. I saw the mother of all wakes behind the rat coming fast so I stopped and walked it In place and it was a big turtle. Interesting outing I’m glad I stopped after work. It’s always those unplanned couple of casts when I’m driving by that tend to be the most interesting.

Once I was bringing in a Whopper Plopper 110 fairly slow and a turtle came up from underneath and hit it hard. It took me a good 20-25 minutes to get the treble hook out of both the top and bottom of his mouth.

The neck muscles of the turtle were also a lot stronger than I anticipated. I would do a slow pull to try and get his head out and he would pull back hard. It wasn't until I tired him out that I could get to the treble hook.
