Does anyone out there use Helium 3 casting rods with 30-40lb braid to leader? Does your knot go through the macro guides well? Thx

Ive used both 30lb and 40lb smackdown from anywhere from 8lb to 17lb floruro leader without issue.

I mainline 50lb braid and have used up to a 15lb fluoro leader with no issues when casting.  However, when flipping you will want to make sure your leader is short enough that your knot is outside of the guides.  That is the only scenario where I have had it hang.

I agree, for pitches and flipping without a lot of momentum that knot can catch

I notice the uni to uni catching sometimes. It's more of a slight tick than actually catching though. I've started to use the fg Knot and it doesn't even tick going through.
