I was talking to a buddy of mine who asked me for advice on a decent 2 piece spinning rod at around the 80$ price point. Unfortunately I have zero experience with 2 piece rods so I figured I’d reach out to you guys for advice. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

If by "decent" you mean built reasonably well, then just about any spinning rod above thirty bucks will be "decent". But if you're asking about some certain characteristics for his best use, then we need to know a lot more about what he's going to do with it, and what he likes and/or dislikes. It's kinda like cars; most cars are "decent". That doesn't mean everyone will like the same one.   jj

Probably looking for a 6.6 med or mh. I searched tackle warehouse and could only find a st croix mojo bass and a daiwa ardito travel rod. Was wondering if there were any other options that I was overlooking. Thanks for the help.

Diawa also has the Tatula XT spinning in a 6'6" M/F 2-piece. Check manufacturers sites for more selection - places like TW only sell what they can move. Quite often a manufacturer has quite a bit more than you'll see at TW or other places.

Check other fishing sites - FishUSA, Sportsmans Outfitters, etc

An example is that TW doesn't carry either of Diawa's Ultra-light only lines - Presso or Spinmatic.

Thanks MN Fisher. I checked out fish USA and they have a nice selection of fenwick 2 piece rods that look nice and fit the price point.

One thing to watch is the guide inserts if he gets a MH. Sometimes cheap ones pop out. TW carries very, very few 2-pc rods. As MN fisher advised, try FishUSA. Call different mfrs, or e-mail them. Fenwick has an Eagle 2-pc MH at 6'6". but it has stainless inserts. Some people absolutely loath them. And, of course, some people don't. Cheap Daiwa rods are usually okay-to-good. I'd stay away from the off-brands, but that's just me.  We still don't know what he's doing with this......     jj

   Ooops.

Timing was a little late on that one, wasn't it?  ?      jj

I agree with @greentrout I purchased one of their Perigee II Ultralights, Not a bad rod for the price point.
