Baits of the same size sometimes feel different depending on the color. Some are stiffer than others and you can tell when holding them and rigging them up. What is it about the different colors that causes this? Quote

At least with Senkos. I noticed it yesterday with TRDs. I use Coppertruese 90% of the time. I got some in Molting Craw to try out and they're a lot stiffer than the others. Quote
moguy1973 Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Possibly different salt content too. With my Z-man products I always stretch them out and let them go to get as much of the salt out of them as I can as less salt makes them float better and gives them much better action. 1 Quote

There are Senko differences in the different colors due to the pigment, differences between different flake type/colors and differences in the laminates. Some skip better, some sink a little faster, some are a little more durable, etc. Takes a very experienced hand to notice the differences but they are there. 3 Quote

There is a difference for sure, but they also all have the classic Senko characteristics. As far as TRDs, I didn't notice any difference between the softer vs the stiffer other than the Molting Craw caught more channel catfish than smallmouth bass yesterday, but I'm sure that had nothing to do with the different characteristics. 1 Quote
