Just wondering if anyone has used the falcon Jason Christie series ($99) 6 11 for frogging. Im looking for a shorter frog rod 7 ft or less around the same price point. I fish out of a small jon boat and a shorter rod is much easier to walk a frog with in open water for me.

Thanks

I had the Christie 7’3” rod and it was the best action for a frog rod That I have ever had.  It would cast a mile and I literally could not miss a hook set.    It was perfect until I got a boat and needed something for tip down presentation (walking, etc) and I just can’t work a frog tip down to my liking with anything over 7’.    Tip up in a pond it was perfect. I would expect the 6’11” rod to be a really great rod as well.

Yeah im with you on nothing over 7 ft, even with my 7 ft im still slapping the water occasionally. Iv seen posts about the jason Christie cara series rod, but i believe thats a higher price point rod. Haven't heard too much about the jason Christie  signature series, which is what im thinking about.

I have the 6’8” MH, It’s an awesome  stick that excels at many techniques. I use mine for crankbaits and jerkbaits.
