USMC22 Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 Hi Guys, finally got got a trolling motor (minn kota fortrex 80) and after getting on the water for the first time noticed it looked odd. Just trying to figure out if it’s an issue. Quote
Brew City Bass Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 Yeah... Uh.. I don't think that's supposed to be like that. I've never seen one permanently bent out of shape like that. Looks like it whacked something pretty good. Quote
Russ E Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 there is usually an adjustable leg attached to the aluminum frame that rests on the deck. This supports the motor when it is stowed. It has a graphite shaft. It may be bowed because it is not stowing properly. I have bowed mine a long way, hitting trees, and it always snaps back. does it look bent when it is deployed? Quote

I’ll check if tomorrow in a deployed position 54 minutes ago, Brew City Bass said: Yeah... Uh.. I don't think that's supposed to be like that. Box looked fine when it showed up. Quote
