jwfields1980 Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Hello everyone I've been visiting this site for a while and decided I should join the forum. There is a lot of good info here and I appreciate everyone for their contributions. I have three sons and we all love bass fishing. I grew up trout fishing, so I am leaning about bass fishing as I go. My sons have stuck with it thru the learning pains and are probably better at it than I am. Two of the three have bigger personal bests than I do.(I consider that a success for me also) Anyway, thanks for all the info and great site Jason Quote

I am as far away from you as a person can get and still be in WV. I'm in the Eastern Panhandle near Martinsburg and fish the Upper Potomac river. But hey, West Virginia is West Virginia!! Quote
1202FireMedic Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Welcome. I too live on the Ohio River just over the pond. Southeastern Ohio here. My wife and I travel up to the Richwood WV area on the cranberry river and fish for trout. We haven’t been in a few years but we’re going to make the trip in the fall. It’s beautiful country up there. Quote

It’s beautiful country up there. I grew up fishing the Williams but also spent time on the cranberry. It is nice. I have been planning on buying my Ohio license to try some of the ponds and lakes near me on that side of the river. Tycoon lake, forked run, Dow lake and a bunch of others are within a reasonable driving distance for me. It’s probably closer for me to fish in Ohio than a lot of the West Virginia lakes I go to. 1 Quote
