I snapped a SLX in half the weekend before last. Only had the rod two weeks. Called Shimano and they gave me an email address to send the completed warranty form. I've yet to even get a reply from them regarding it.

Most of the time you won’t get a response, the rod will show up in a couple weeks.

They didn't request that I return the broken rod. Will they if/when a new one arrives?

I told them i found it and since it was never registered till i gave them the number wala..momma didnt raise no fool said i can send it in nd they match a new top with a 35$ prepaid or go to nearest dealer and match a top and get the model number so 35 bucks helll yaaaa

I dont think the warranty was involved at all with your instance so no harm scam whatever. That $35 would be the regular tip top price for a Mojo rod. I have purchased a couple tip sections for my 2pc Avid and, if I remember correctly, they were around that price shipped no warranty involved.

You have to send the rod with the warranty form filled out. Then they will send a replacement.

@bassheel, sorry to hear about your rod and I apologize for the late post. Here is the Shimano Crucial warranty sticker from one of the rods I just received after scouring the internet. I’ve never been disappointed with Shimano’s warranty, even though you have to come up with some coin to get a new rod. The link @EllisJuan provided us is pretty helpful. Good fishing, JB
