Mitch Wayment Posted May 30, 2019 Posted May 30, 2019 Hey everyone! I purchased some Storm Arashi deep diving crankbaits and I had heard that the bills will sometimes cut your line. I have had this happen a couple times now but it was a few feet about where my knot was. I am curious to see if anyone is having the same thing happen to them, and if so, what is the solution. Thanks! Quote
Super User fishballer06 Posted May 30, 2019 Super User Posted May 30, 2019 I haven't used this lures or heard of this issue, but I suppose it's possible with that super thin and long circuit board lip. If yours is breaking a few feet in front of the knot, I'd guess that it's from abrasion on some sort of structure. Quote
anderb54 Posted May 30, 2019 Posted May 30, 2019 It's a common issue with them. Use high grit sand paper to take the sharp edge off Quote
Super User scaleface Posted May 30, 2019 Super User Posted May 30, 2019 I did not know that . I have one and only used it a couple of cast . The edge of the lip cuts the line during the retrieve ? Quote
ohboyitsrobby Posted May 31, 2019 Posted May 31, 2019 Yeah I've heard that they did it also. I just sanded em down when I got em and never had a problem Quote
