What to use if bass are biting nightcrawlers

Probably an obvious answer, but fishing is always full of surprises and doesn't always play to the textbook. That said I've caught some pretty decent bass this year while fishing for bluegill, shellcracker, and crappie. And the numbers have been enough that it's making me want to take a couple trips strictly bass fishing. I have a couple baitcast combos I can rig up and I have 12, 14, 17, and I think a spool of 20 lb test that I could line them up with. What are your suggestions? Senkos? Flukes? pumpkinseed or watermelon seed zoom worms?

Those are all good ( although I’ve never heard of a pumpkinseed fluke).

I would also try ribbontail worms like Culprit , mr twister , zoom ol monsters, etc .

and zoom trick worms...

   When bass are hitting worms under bobbers, use a wacky-rigged Senko under a bobber. By the time they figure out the difference .... they're hooked.    jj

A trick worm on a lightly weighted T-rig would be a good option.

If live bait for Bass is legal this time of year for you then use a night crawler with a worm threader. Makes for a natural presentation. 

 

You could also use Gulp crawlers.
