Hook2Jaw Posted May 30, 2019 Posted May 30, 2019 Another YUM Pulse fan here, my favorite thing about that bait is I can hang it beside the kayak running 4 or 5 mph and it'll stay down due to the ribs acting almost like a lip. They're my slow roll swimbait of choice for their price, thump, and their ability to stay down. I'm also a huge fan of the Big Bite Baits Dean Rojas Cane Thumper. 1 Quote
microotter Posted May 30, 2019 Posted May 30, 2019 I keep reading this thread title as “small swimbait shootout” and it inspired me to order a few of the different ones mentioned in this thread that I haven’t tried yet. I am going to have my own small swimbait shootout. 1 Quote
waymont Posted May 31, 2019 Posted May 31, 2019 For me the Cabela's swimbaits are the best out there. You should also try the 5" version of the Cabelas swimbait with a Gamakatsu 5/0 EWG belly weighted hook. It's the best rig of this kind I've ever used. 1 Quote

Yeah I'm going to definitely try out their 5" after using these. On 5/29/2019 at 12:58 AM, Glaucus said: Were the tails on those jacked up being packaged like that? Trying to find quality paddle tails like these that don't come with a half pack of garbage due to out of place tails from packaging. So far they've been good, I was worried also before purchasing Quote

GrumpyOlPhartte Posted June 1, 2019 Posted June 1, 2019 Guess I have to chime in here. For some reason, I have had a lot of luck using the Reaction Innovations Little Dipper in the Sungill pattern around here. Second place goes to the Zoom fluke in Purple Flash (I think that’s the name of the pattern.) I can understand the RI working but the Zoom sparkly purple fluke looks like nothing in the lakes of western MA. 1 Quote

Using a 1/8oz. darter style head. What other "smaller size" swimbaits that take no effort to get tail kicking and heads do you guys like ? Keitech fat impact ! Quote
