Norman lures. Born in the U.S.A...............Now Made in Mexico

ALL made in America.  In addition to precise quality control, a few other points would be:

1. Job creation stimulating local economy
2. They are able to quickly react to trends and improve time to peg speed
3. Quick response to shortages and/or out of stocks
4. Research and development of new shapes and or plastic formulas

Well, I'm looking into it and will post Norman's reply. I thought all of their tackle was designed and

built here, but I could be wrong. Will get back on this.

Doesn't matter. I like the DD22 for those times when I want to crank down into that structure and not worry about losing it. A lot cheaper than the LC and MB deep cranks and just as effective. I've got LC and MB divers, but sometimes that bottom structure gets gnarly, and that's when I tie on a Norman.

Some years ago Wal Mart had these for $2.99. I think they were an exclusive cheaper made model because they also had $5 ones. My dad and I used them all the time. I got his tackle box after he died and he still had several. I used to always buy a chrome and a fire tiger. Occasionally we'd hook a striper on them and have to loosen the drag because they would break the rear hook off. I caught many a LMB and striper on these baits.

The lures distributed after the PRADCO acquisition saw a package change from red to blue and all are tagged on the back, " Made in Guatamala."  I have compared my post PRADCO to pre PRADCO and can find no difference, visibly or how they perform.  I've been fishing NORMANS lures since 1979 and at last count have close to 80 or so.  It's a much over looked bait and brand.

Most bass lures start as "born in the USA" and as production increases off shore cost savings to increase profits, like nearly everything else, happen.

Rapala started in Finland was the exception for decades before Japanese lures like Daiwa TD minnow and Micheals followed by Lucky Craft and Megabass that have become staples in our tackle boxes.

The Creek Chubs of yesteryear are nearly history and my early favorite Bombers and Smithwick for decades may still be made in the USA?
