I’ve read his book and about everything I can find on the internet. Just curious if he was mainly a basic bait man or did he use jerkbaits? Deep diving crankbaits? If anyone can give me some insight  on how everything he did meaning was you super versatile or just use everything you would for shallow fishing?

Whenever I hear the name Denny Brauer I always associate it with jig fishing.

Like any Pro angler Denny is quite versatile, he's won tournaments fishing deep structure & has won using square bills.

Had the pleasure of meeting him at FLW Quad City tournament. A great guy and a Ambassadeur of our sport. The king of flipping jigs for sure.

I believe he won his Classic in '98 primarily flipping a tube. I had the pleasure of meeting him when I worked at Cabela's. He's always been one of my favorites and I really enjoyed talking to him. I've heard he can be a little short with folks but wasn't the case when I talked to him. He's also a very skilled squarebill fisherman and most any other shallow water technique.

The poor guy has spent a lot of his life in pain and I believe has had more than one back surgery.

A few years back I fished Amistad with some friends.  We spent a little over a week in Del Rio.  He had a home on the lake back then, and we would often see him around town.   Nearly every morning he would beat us to the ramp and when we were through for the day his rig was still in the lot.   That guy puts some serious time on the water.

He was a bricklayer before he was a fisherman. I think that's why he had a lot of his back problems.

Denny is an all time favorite of mine.  Jigs, T-rigs, and crankbaits are what I associate him with.
