Been looking a long time at these on tackle warehouse. Does anyone use one and care to share your thoughts? Plan to start throwing A rigs this winter, larger glides and swimbaits.

Also open to other budget friendly options suggestions. Trying to keep the value, lower cost, and good performance aspects in my lineups. Thank you.

I have 't fished with the DX just touch and feel at a local tackle shop about 5 years ago.

The original DX was a heavy weight and rigid rod compared to Irod or Okuma GS A series and that turned me off. Since that time period Dobyns introduced the Fury swimbait rods and both the 795 and 806 are popular, my preference is the 806SB for 8" Hudds etc.

I haven't used a swimbait rod...though I am looking to get into heavier swimbaits than my Aird-X H/F can handle.

Couple other options in that price range are the Dobyn's Fury and the St Croix Bass-X - both have swimbait models.

I own 4 of the DX swimbait rods and have 0 complaints. I throw my A- rigs on the med-heavy .

I enjoy mine, throw 1-4oz swimbaits on the 8' HF.
