dsidle61 Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 Im looking at switching over from my current bass boat (Tracker 170) to the adventure next winter/spring. I know its new this year so I was curious to see if anyone in the group has one of the new ones from this year. Looking for real reviews online are hard to come by, I dont care what the dealers have to say, its not like they will tell me any issues. Only reason for the switch is that Im looking for a more "family" friendly ride with the addition of a dog this year and kid on the way this fall. I will be going for the 1675 ss, unfortunately the 1775 doesnt fit in the garage. Side discussion, how have you guys gone about selling your boats privately? Obviously id love to just trade my tracker in but i dont want to lose a couple grand doing a trade. Second side note, if anyone is looking for a 3 year old tracker for 10k let me know ? Quote
Super User slonezp Posted May 19, 2019 Super User Posted May 19, 2019 Can't go wrong with a Lund. As far as selling your boat, do you need the money for the down payment? I had the dealer I bought my Lund from sell my old boat on consignment for zero commission rather than trade it in. Had I traded it in, I probably would have only got half of what I sold it for. Yes I will be using it for the down payment. That sounds like a good program though, I’ve not heard of that. I’m actually going to sell mine here in early to mid July and take the fall off from fishing. If I wait til end of the season up here in Minnesota nobody will take it. Quote

If you are unable to sell it on your own, maybe you can work out some kind of deal. Pay him the commission up front and have him kick it back to you once you sign the papers. Quote
jbmaine Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 I have a Lund Fury XL Sport, which is very close to the adventure. Can't say enough good things about it. 1 Quote
haggard Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 As @jbmaine says the Fury is similar (and for that matter the Rebel) - Jim took me fishing on his Lund for a day and if you're looking for a family friendly (comfortable), high quality, plenty of storage, boat that's still able to get into tight spots for bass? Lund. Quote

I really wanted a Lund 3 years ago when I bought my tracker but it wasnt in my budget, and at the time i wanted strictly a bass boat. If you dont mind me asking what HP did you put on yours? Im looking to upgrade my 40 horse Merc, we have a few big lakes up here that take some riding time to get around, I dont need anything crazy big but I was hoping to get to 90. Quote
Super User gim Posted May 20, 2019 Super User Posted May 20, 2019 Smart move measuring which boat will or won’t fit in your garage ahead of time. 1 Quote
