Super User ChrisD46 Posted May 20, 2019 Author Super User Posted May 20, 2019 I.ve read where some guys use a glass bead (i.e. 6 or 6mm ?) in front of a toad ? I suppose this is to keep weeds or scum off the front or for some other reason ? Quote
Arobb2012 Posted May 21, 2019 Posted May 21, 2019 Does anyone use toads for river smallmouth? I have thought about it but haven't pulled the trigger on any yet. Quote

It worked very well to keep off weeds and to protect the plastic from ripping off the hook. Quote

The big round bead helps deflect stems of spatterdock/grass. Point your rod tip at the lure, and reel in straight. Quote
