I am getting the St. Croix Mojo Bass two piece version because the place I fish at requires me to bike there so need a rod I can carry on my back. I know the travel rods all have cases but does anyone make a case for a two piece rod? I know it is still like 3 and a half feet long but a case would still be nice so I can carry it on my back.

Currently I'm using a double rifle plastic case/foam lined. Cost about $24 and holds 4 2 piece rods with reels, 2 spare reels and several other small items. This might not be doable to wear on your back but maybe possible. It does protect my gear really well....

Nothing wrong with modern 2 piece rods from a reputable company like st croix.

‘Nuff said, especially if it’s a necessity to begin with.

You won’t be losing much if anything in the sensitivity department either.

As one who uses mostly 2-piece rods for everything since they need to fit in my trunk, these rods see more action than my 1-piece bass rods unless it’s the weekend and I can fish all day.

Harding and Sons is who I order my custom cases from. I have a few one, two, and four piece cases so I can leave my reels connected yet still have everything protected laying in the bed of a truck going hours down gravel roads for backcountry fishing.

ETA: they are who I use for hard cases. I have had local upholstery shops sew me soft cases.

When I fish some local spots on my bike I take a 2 piece 6 or 6'6" 2 piece in a regular Jansport® backpack. I just rubber band the two pieces together top and bottom. I use a tactical clip to hold the zippers together, and pass the rod through the nylon loop on the knapsack if I'm going more than 10 or 15 miles.

Look up "Blueprint Holder Tube".  Lots of options, some are telescopic and will fit longer rods.

Look at fly rod cases.  they make rod case that can handle 4 piece and 2 piece rods of all different sizes.  I am sure even st croix has a case that will work.
