That’s a fake. Eagles just don’t have enough lifting power to pick up a lamb.

I don't know. Eagles have an 8 foot wing span and baby lambs are not that big. I've seen some big birds carry off some big rabbits.

Largest eagle in North Europe is the Golden Eagle with a wingspan of just under 8 feet and weighing 15 pounds for females (always larger than the males). Normal carry capacity is 1/2 their weight - so 7.5 pounds. In a 'swoop and grab' they can handle more, but nothing above their own body weight. There have been multiple instances where people stated they carried off dogs and such, and for a small dog (10-12 lbs) this could be the case. Following vid, a Golden Eagle attempts to carry off a toddler, but couldn't handle the weight and dropped the child before flying off.

It's possible the lamb was taken, if it was VERY young, but I have my doubts.

A few years ago my Son and I were fishing at Diamond Valley Lake, and on an adjacent piece of flat land we saw a redtailed hawk fly off with a full grown fox. Birds of prey have always fascinated me. I've had Owls, hawks that I rescued even when I was 10 years old. Shame that these birds have dwindled  through out the years around here.

Eagles are cool to watch. They would rather scavenge than hunt.

Apparently a Sea Eagle, not sure if that's another name for a Bald Eagle, kind of hard to tell from the picture.

Want to get rid of the drowsy while sitting in a deer stand, have a red tail hawk attack the hat on your head.  Luckily it was a cold morning and I had an insulated head cover on also but he took my bush cap off and I still felt his talons some.   I had been there a couple of hours and kinda nodded off with my head bent over for a few minutes.  I guess thought it was some kind of critter and wanted breakfast.  Scared the crap out of both of us, and he dropped my cap on the ground.
