rod snapper Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 which catches more fish, a weightless t rigged senko or a texas rigged ribbon tail worm? Quote
cookieman Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 personally i catch more on a yum dinger senko> but when with my son he uses ribbontails alot and we both catch fish. i think its up to each what comfortable with Quote
nascar2428 Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 For me it's weightless t-ririgged plastic stick baits. Ribbontails have their time and place, I just don't use them that much. Quote

Global Moderator Mike L Posted April 29, 2019 Global Moderator Posted April 29, 2019 Impossible to definitively say. I caught my PB on 7" fat max ribbon tail but comparing the 2 I'll catch more numbers on a weightless Senko. Its like anything else in fishing they'll hit what they want when they want to hit it. rod snapper Posted April 29, 2019 Author Posted April 29, 2019 I've had the experience of catching more fish on the senko, but if i'm honest, i also use the senko alot more than the ribbon tail. Quote
Super User bowhunter63 Posted April 29, 2019 Super User Posted April 29, 2019 The ribbon tail gets it done year after year. The Senko has saved many days too. Got to have both. 1 Quote
Super User jimmyjoe Posted April 30, 2019 Super User Posted April 30, 2019 Weightless senko for me. The slower drop provides more "strike time". This is especially true in submerged timber. jj Quote
Super User NHBull Posted April 30, 2019 Super User Posted April 30, 2019 For numbers, I am often out fished by students throwing weightless wackyrigs with senkos Quote
Manly Studson Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 The Senko produces more for me. I haven’t really compared them head to head, but over time the Senko has become a lure that I will always have on hand. The ribbon tail may have its place, but I’m not sure how to fit it in. When would I use a ribbon tail over a Senko? I don’t know the answer to that question. 1 Quote
Fishing_FF Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 Both? I fish both, and they are both producers for me. Each has its time and place in my tackle. I know the Senko can catch some big fish (lost 2 big ones after straightening out the Owner 2/0 hooks I was fishing 4” Senkos on). However, the ribbon tail worm seems to be a better size producer for me, especially during the hottest part of the days in the summer. 1 Quote
IgotWood Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 Mostly senkos for me. During the dog days when the water gets really warm, the ribbontail seems to do better. Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted May 1, 2019 Super User Posted May 1, 2019 Texas rigged or Weedless???? LOL, I'm out on that one. Quote
