This goes for animal output as well. We see this in Southern California, where we have too many people and not enough water. For example, there have been times where Lake Perris, a 2200 acre lake in Riverside California, has been plagued by bacteria issues caused by human contact & excretions. They have had to close the beaches there many times, once for a 100 day stretch. The Water district will not use water from Perris for drinking, they instead pull that from other nearby resevoirs that don't allow human contact Too many people and not enough water........ It still amazes me that 40 million people didn't see that one coming

WRB can attest to what Orange County & much of So Cal was like in the early 70's. Great place for suburban life, not rural but not city-fied. But decades of building without keeping enough spaces open changed it & its culture immensely.
Super User A-Jay Posted April 29, 2019 Super User Posted April 29, 2019 Three pages on P - impressive. Especially since there's plenty of open water to fish. While my bass fishing can & often does present a number of perplexing and challenging decisions, choosing when, where and how to go, is rarely one of them. Either way, early and late season, there's nothing worse than having a 3 pants unit on a 4 pants day. A-Jay 1 1
RHuff Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 I just go. If there are people around I try to get a reasonable distance away from them and turn my back. Nobody really looks to see what's going anyways... 2
Super User geo g Posted April 29, 2019 Super User Posted April 29, 2019 New meds that make you pee like a race horse. I take a mason jar rather then stand on the edge of the boat like 40 years ago. Clean it out and put it back in the dry storage. I also take several big trash bags and a roll of toilet paper. I empty the big live well, put the bag in and sit and have a comfy poop. I haven't needed it yet, but several back seaters have used the poop bag. Just remember to restock after a use. Never leave home unprepared! 2
wasabi_VA Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 You sir just upped the ante with the poop bag! ?
bagofdonuts Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 Have been told from Ranger at Buffalo National River that if in the back country and don't have a toilet around it is actually preferable that you urinate in the river, as the diluted urine has virtually no impact. From "leave no trace" website: Urine Urine has little direct effect on vegetation or soil. In some instances, urine may draw wildlife which are attracted to the salts. They can defoliate plants and dig up soil. Urinating on rocks, pine needles, and gravel is less likely to attract wildlife. Diluting urine with water from a water bottle can help minimize negative effects 1
Smokinal Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 Little Timmy raised his hand in class one day. The teacher said "yes Timmy, what do you need?" Timmy said "I gotta take a leak" Teacher said Timmy, you know that's not how we ask to use the bathroom. If you can use the word urinate in a proper sentence, you may go use the restroom. Timmy tilts his head as he thinks for a second; then says, "Urinate. But if you had a bigger rack you'd be a 10" 1 7

I know someone who was visited on a lake by a warden for that issue. Apparently some old lady was watching them fish with binoculars. My buddy whipped it out in their direction and peed in the lake. They were many blocks out in the lake. Lady called the cops, cops referred it to the DNR, DNR officer came and told them to be more discreet. I generally take a leak over the side, careful of any overly-sensitive prying eyes. Sometimes it means motoring over to a quieter spot if need be. I have a hospital urinal that I use on big water with big waves. In a live tourney, I'm assuming the camera man turns the the camera off for a couple minutes. Usually they have someone else to cut too. It would be no different than if they motor for a few minutes to a new spot. Rarely do they show that either.

Here's where it gets fun...if they had decided to charge him and he was found guilty. Up to 90 days in jail and/or $1000 fine. Unless someone under 16 saw him...then it's up to a year in jail and/or $3000 fine as that's a Gross Misdemeanor. And if he's caught a second time and someone under 16 saw him....Felony - up to 5 years in prison and/or $10,000 fine...and registered as a 'Sex Offender'. Really want to chance that just to be able to pee over the side of your boat?

Do a Google search on MN Defense attorneys...they all state that exposing yourself in public - unless at a designated Nudist spot or a breastfeeding mother - is indecent exposure. And the law is very specific
