While tournament fishing, where do the anglers urinate?

Posted

I keep a 32 oz cup in the boat and use it to try to be discrete. I make sure to rinse it well after using it and get a new one frequently. A plastic soft drink cup from McDonalds or a convenience store.

I have to go like every hour so finding a formal restroom doesn’t work so hot for me.

The hospital urination "jars" work very well, hold plenty, not easy to spill.  I rinse it overboard, but keep in in the livewell.

Public lakes have floating restrooms called USS Relief.

I can fish sun up to sun down and never have to urinate. In most places it’s illegal to urinate within something like 250’ of natural body of water, including lakes, rivers, streams, ponds and creeks.

Man Card ownership regulation requirements while being fairly specific regarding this matter, do allow some flebility.

Most of these revolve around decorum.

I always joke with my buddies (not really joking, honestly) and say I don't hate winter fishing because it's cold. I hate winter fishing because I have to take off all 57 layers to use the bathroom.

Jokes aside, I am the world's worst when it comes to having to take a bathroom break while out fishing. I try to stay hydrated so I'm always getting that urge. In simple terms I just whip er' out and go but my biggest issue is that I am always either fishing docks around houses or fishing a hole out deep that is surrounded by other anglers or main lake where someone is constantly riding by. I try to hide behind the motor or something but sometimes I just say "who cares" and let it loose because I got to go.

I thought this was going to be about making sure your motor was “peeing.”

I will never drink lemon line flavored original Gatorade on a bass boat or any boat ever again, lol.

We guys don’t really have an issue. But what about women? Serious question.

I know we went over this a little while back. There are devices for sale that allow a woman to pee like a man. So an empty bottle can work for them as well.

I may be wrong, but the OP may be asking where Ike, Ish, KVD, and the rest of the field take a wizz while they are fishing a tournament and on TV.

I guess fish wildlife don't count? Seriously I "get" that states don't want the local rock / jazz festival ticking in the lake, but some laws go too far. Oh well, the next time I need to go maybe I'll take my rangefinder with me! ?

First thing on our checklist, for prepping the boat, is the pee can.

Minnesota has no specific law against urinating in the lake...but if done in view of other people, it can be charged as 'Indecent Exposure' at the Misdemeanor level.

Talk about going to the bathroom where you eat...  LOL

I do believe a 32 oz or half gal jug would serve the purpose better,  then emptying it at the port o potty once your back on land...    Then again you could buy a box of depends.  ;)

Unless you are fishing a pristine mountain lake, the runoff entering the lake is far worse than someone relieving their self.

Plus people may think you are a bit. strange, walking across the boat ramp parking lot with a jug of pee. So you can dump it in the porta potty.
