Can anyone give me some tips on bank fishing in the Midwest

Posted

Looks like you’re close to Lake Michigan is that where you fish? Or are you fishing elsewhere. It’s hard to help if we don’t know what you’re fishing in river, pond or lake. But when I’m fishing from shore I’m always looking for lay downs and using spinnerbaits, Texas rigged craws & worms to avoid snags and losing 5-8$ lures

Find areas with deep water near the banks as summer approaches.

Honestly the rivers around here are really underrated. fishing a small 2.8 keitech or a zman trd craw is the way to go! Kentuckies should be on fire after the water calms down.

Find dams, fish rock below dams...

rip-rap is an awesome place for spots on Lake of the Ozarks. Not very big fish but FUN!

I’ve been having good luck lately running a shallow running crankbaits over vegetation.
