Super User Oregon Native Posted April 27, 2019 Super User Posted April 27, 2019 I would call it a fresh air fix and if you brought rain gear life was good. Quote
NittyGrittyBoy Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 I do it all time. Fishing ain't catching! Record what the conditions were and what bait you used, and you know where to start next time! 1 Quote
nascar2428 Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Some days are better than others. One thing is for sure when it comes to fishing, you will never catch em without a line in the water!! Quote

Super User MIbassyaker Posted April 27, 2019 Super User Posted April 27, 2019 If you hadn't gone, you'd be wondering whether you missed some serious action, and you'd be kicking yourself for a missed opportunity. 1 Quote
Trox Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Last year I fished a tournament on a 100 degree day (which is pretty much all of them here in Texas during the summer), I remember watching a rainstorm in the distance praying that it came my way. It did, monsooned for about 45mins, then blue skies again. Still one of my favorite memories. Something special about watching a wall of rain make it's way across a lake as you put your rain gear on. The nature has always been one of my favorite things about the sport 1 Quote

Yeah, I always think I’m missing out on some action when I’m not there. When i am there and there’s not much action it just confirms that I was right and it must was been amazing when I wasn’t there. Lol. 1 Quote
Super User NYWayfarer Posted April 27, 2019 Super User Posted April 27, 2019 I’m a dummy as well. 40 degree air temps, 15 mph winds with 30-40 mph gusts and I was out there. Freezing my *bleep* off I was able to hook one Trout but he shook the hook. Guy next to me landed a limit with butterworms on a float rig. In fact the Trout I hooked was with one of those worms he lent me. I got schooled today. And a chill from the wind I have not been able to shake yet. Quote
