The question no one has answered and shocked it hasn't come up.

Creamy or chunks, and don't be an idiot and say Keto.....nobody like Keto peanut butter ?

Creamy - don't like picking pieces of nuts out from between my teeth.

Try toasting your bread, whole different animal. Just let it cool a skosh before eating or it can be a gooey mess...

The reason I mix em together is I dislike the peanut butter sticking to the roof of my mouth. I can not eat just plain peanut butter, it's gotta be mixed with jelly or syrup.

Creamy only!  ?

I like PB&J sandwiches, had one for lunch yesterday and today.  I do not like the two stirred  together, my wife has always done that for the kids and grandkids, and tried it a couple of times on me. Totally changes the flavor.  I like to be able to taste the peanut butter and the jelly, not what you get when you blend the two together and the ratio has to be just right. not too much or too little of either one.   I agree with the Smuckers  Concord Grape, that's the only one I use on mine.  Peanut butter on one slice, jelly on the other.  However, you think what you do is weird, ain't nothing compared to mine.  I also like to put a banana in mine.  Of course I also eat a banana sandwich peanut butter and mayo, those are good also.

I also make peanut butter and Grape jelly saltine crackers sometimes for a TV snack.

A temporary cure for that is to retire.  I say temporary because if you are like me, once I got used to having all that time, I started finding more things to do.  Now I'm back to being busier than I was before I retired.

Update:   Thanks to this thread,  I just finished a PB&J.  I went traditional with peanut butter on one slice and jelly in the other.  Orange Marmalade Smuckers and creamy Kroger PB.

After reading all these posts I wondered if it was safe to post this. As much as I love peanut butter and PB&J sandwiches I must say this. I have never tried a peanut butter and banana sandwich. I hope I haven't sent too many people in to a state of shock.

Don't worry, I think a whole lot of people have never even heard of a banana sandwich, much less with PB or PB&J.  I think that's another one of those southern things.  Kind of like grits for breakfast. Breakfast ain't breakfast without grits.

Don’t do it. Don’t eat a PB and banana sandwich in a boat. You’ll catch less fish.

It has to have mayonnaise on it.  Peanut butter on one slice, Hellmanns on the other and the nanner in the middle.  Mayo on just a peanut butter will help keep it from sticking to the roof of your mouth if you have that problem.  Of course to me, a sandwich ain't a sandwich without the mayo on it.

One thing, don't try a PB and pineapple.  I love a pineapple and mayo sandwich, but pineapple and PB don't go well together

It also has to be Jif peanut butter.

Jif is good stuff. Much more of a peanut flavor than other brands IMO.

The whipped Jif is great for dipping apple slices into for a snack.

The new Jif Power Up bars and granola clusters are awesome. A peanut butter ball rolled over granola, so gooooood!

5lbs of peanut butter!

I eat the stuff 5 days a week and that would last me a long time.

Crunch both slices of bread to seal in the jelly only way to do it. Also build a seal out of the peanut butter to help keep jelly in. We call them peanut butter and helly when it gets on the boat carpet

After you guys drove me crazy last night, I went and made a PBJ out of toasted Italian bread, SUPERCRUNCH peanut butter and cheap jelly. Mmmmmmm...mmmm! Now today I read all this mayo and banana stuff. I'm gonna gain weight. I just know it. I'm gonna. BTW .... when you say "banana", you're talking plantain, right?  Fried plantains?   jj
