Jmp_377 Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Always seem to catch big fish when I don’t have a scale. Caught her on a hair jig and she was 20in. Anyone got any idea how much they think she weighed? Trying to get an accurate estimate. 5 Quote
Hower08 Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 That's about a 4.5+# smallie congrats! Try to look a little happier though! Quote

Super User MIbassyaker Posted April 24, 2019 Super User Posted April 24, 2019 Yup, likely a 4+. Congrats! Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted April 24, 2019 Super User Posted April 24, 2019 That's a nice smallie! Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted April 24, 2019 Super User Posted April 24, 2019 Well if you keep fishing without a scale you will keep getting new PBs. The trouble is you will never know how much they weigh. Looks like a river smallie with that long tail, about 4.5 lbs. 2 Quote
kenmitch Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Nice one! I've never caught a SMB as I haven't fished any waters that they live in yet. Someday I'll get me a coupld of them. If it makes you feel any better my PB Spotted Bass is of unknown weight and length as I didn't have a scale or tape measure on me when I caught it. I do at least have a couple of photos of her. Quote
Jmp_377 Posted April 24, 2019 Author Posted April 24, 2019 Both of my personal best bass for largemouth and smallmouth I have not been able to weight and both of which being 20in. Smallies fight really hard, there my favorite out of them all. Thanks everyone for the replies so far. Quote
Jmp_377 Posted April 25, 2019 Author Posted April 25, 2019 Never mind I broke my PB again today lol. Quote
bassh8er Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Not trying to be rude, but the first one looks like a 3 lber, the last one definitely looks in the 4 lb class to me. We don’t have smallmouth here so what do I know; nice fish either way. Quote
