xDirty Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 Im looking for a spinning rod that i will mostly be worm fishing with. I like the Daiwa Aird X and i can get it at whole sale price. When im neko rigging, my weight can be as much as 1/4oz plus the worm, plus hook. It can get pretty heavy. I cant decided between the medium and the medium heavy. Medium goes from 1/4oz to 3/4oz and the medium heavy goes from 1/4oz to 1oz. I was thinking of getting the medium heavy because it will have more backbone but when it comes to spinning i tend to like medium cause its usually thinner, lighter and loads up better. Any suggestions ? is there a rod thats better in its price range ? Quote
d-camarena Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 Get the mh, the rod is overrated. Theres no way it can handle 1oz baits. Its a great rod though 2 Quote
BoatSquirrel Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 I have the M 7’ Aird and use it for 1.5 squarebills. Its about as stiff as a whip. I would say the MH for your neko. Good inexpensive rod. 1 Quote
