Hopefully this is ok, but I just wanted to give a huge shout out to Kittery Trading Post.

Yesterday they were running a 25% off flash sale on Megabass (and few other brands) that went until midnight EST. (FTR, I did come here to tell y'all about it in the "sale" thread, but someone had beat me to it. ;)) I had some products in my cart, but then something came up where I was pulled away and missed the sale by literally one minute.

I emailed them asking if they knew when the next sale would be, telling them I had just missed this one. I got an email back this morning saying if I call them with my order, they'd be happy to honor it.

The email was from a lovely lady named Maureen. When I called them just now, Maureen herself answered the phone and could not have been more polite and helpful. I figured I'd get some random operator, but as it turns out this place isn't some big retailer/website, but an actual store out of Maine (never heard of them before yesterday).

Also if you're registered there, you get free shipping over $20 orders (otherwise it's free shipping over $81). I ended up getting some Megabass OneTen's, a Popmax and some Magdrafts.

So, that's all. Just wanted to give some attention to what seems like a great company!

Cool beans.  It's totally okay to report a happy experience.

Thanks, and agreed. So often people are quick to talk about their negative experiences but not enough about their  positive experiences.

I live about a hour or so from there it’s a really cool place to check out. Never drive by without stopping by just for fun.

The amount of just STUFF from firearms fishing hunting camping. Just a great place.

Lived close by the KTP all my life. It's starting to show hints of " big store" attitude , but still a cool place.

Yessir.  And until a couple weeks ago,  I didn’t realize they even were an online retailer! ?

The flash sale is over, but I'll be on the lookout when they have it again. 25% off Megabass is quite a deal and one you don't see often. It even included their new Levante line of rods.

Great to hear a shout-out to KTP from Wisconsin. I live 2.0 miles from KTP, not that I'm counting, been a customer since 2006 and have given them more business over the years than I want my wife to know (or my self to recall). Often it's the same people behind the counter today as there were in 2006. The place has expanded and has so much to offer but still has that family owned business feel. It's like a Bass Pro or Cabela's, but not as overwhelming :D

There is also a discount code for www.americanbassoutlet.com for 20% off. Use code "abo20off" at the checkout.

Not alot of product but great prices.

I always stop there when I head up to Maine. My trip usually includes two planned stops, Kittery and LL Beans. Both are worth the time and both are just off of I-95.

I work in the fishing department at KTP. I think they are pretty great there also, but I may be biased.

I think ya'll need to switch to shipping in tubes vs two boxes taped together.

From the recommendation of this thread, I've now ordered twice from KTP. Both orders shipped quickly and arrived to me in perfect packaging. I'll be shopping with KTP more in the future.

I don't think they sell anything higher than the Levante line. Online at least.

We just started selling the Levante 6 weeks ago. We are seeing how they sell. We went from a full assortment of GLoomis stuff, to Megabass, so im thinking on the whole, people may not be too excited about it, but we will see. The Megabass hard baits and soft baits have been selling well, so there is hope that we will continue to bring in more Megabass products in the near future.

I'll second what @evilcatfish said. Megabass isn't a name yet that everyone knows in the US, but I think they're quickly becoming known in the bass scene as a premier brand on par or above GLoomis these days.

I've done the same thing. My sweetheart and I have been to Maine the last couple of years for vacation. I hit Kittery last stop up.
