Dorado Posted April 15, 2019 Posted April 15, 2019 Took my boy fishing for bluegills. Classic bobber and mealworms did the trick. Bonus: I always have a stick worm wacky rigged for the bass that cruise scaring away all the gills that my son is trying to catch. This one couldn’t resist the fall of the GP/Watermelon Maxscent General. 10 Quote

I was an innocent little seven year old when a bluegill hit a poppin bug I was playing around with. That fish has easily cost me over a $250K over the last 50 years. 2 3 Quote
Super User islandbass Posted April 17, 2019 Super User Posted April 17, 2019 Awesome! You got a fishing partner, until he discovers girls, lol. 1 Quote
Super User JustJames Posted April 18, 2019 Super User Posted April 18, 2019 Man your boy is a lot better than me. His fish is about twice the size of my bluegill. In fact this is my very first bluegill that I ever caught. I think I start to like more and more fishing for panfish on light setup. Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted April 22, 2019 Super User Posted April 22, 2019 Sheeesh, that's a nice gill for sure! The smile on his face is priceless. Congrats and thanks for sharing. Quote
Jleebesaw Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 I wish I could catch bluegills like that. They are great eating fish, but it's hard to get good sized ones around here. Quote
Super User Darren. Posted April 28, 2019 Super User Posted April 28, 2019 Great bluegill catch. Really nice size, and yeah, addiction starts now for the little guy . Quote
